A Body for Hunger and Desire, Too | 9.12.25 - 9.17.25 | The Supermarket

A Body for Hunger and Desire, Too delved into the visceral connections between hunger, desire, and the authority that perpetuates cycles of deprivation and longing. The exhibition challenges viewers to confront the physical and emotional ramifications of systemic control, exploring how bodies—whether individual or collective—navigate the urgent needs for sustenance and fulfillment in environments marked by power dynamics while hunger, sustenance, authority, and desire are abstracted with and against liberation and the tension existent in longing for change.
Artists: Autumn Nelson, Eve Brown, Faith Fidgeon, Fatou Bessem, Jamil Fatti, Katy Beltrán, Kiara Gilbert, Hannah Helton, Hiroko Kelly, and Stephanie Howard.
Performance by Hiroko Kelly and Faith Fidgeon.
Curated In partnership with The Bakery Atlanta
