Falls Count Anywhere

Falls Count Anywhere is an iterative durational work in which fatigue is approached not as an abstract condition but as a real, physical force that insistently alters the posture and agency of a human body over an extended period of time. The artists occupied a glass vitrine over a sheet of copper. Over thirty minutes, through sustained contact and incremental pressure, Madison pushes Haylee’s body downward, shaping it against the copper surface. The copper functions as a recording device, registering the weight and movement of the event through pressing and oxidation.
